Age 84 of Pittsburgh, passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. He is survived by an extensive family as a father, grandfather, uncle, and cousin. His parents, siblings, and wife preceded him in death.
Earl was an army veteran who achieved the rank of sergeant. From 1960-1966, he completed an active tour and then served as a reservist. Professionally, he was a firefighter from 1967-1990 and was also an electrician and general contractor during those years.
Personally, Earl had varied interests such as finance, politics, and current events. However, his first love was sports. As a young man, he excelled in track and field and football. As an older man, he loved fishing. Earl had a wry sense of humor and an infectious laugh that caused even strangers to join in and laugh with him. He will be missed by many.
At his request, there will be no formal memorial service. The family asks that loved ones share their stories and fond memories of him and find comfort in knowing that he finished his course and is resting with God.
